MenuMeters are great for monitoring the user interface of a computer, but there are actually more powerful applications out there that can provide all the details you want. Some of the most popular and widely used software are WindowMeter and WindowSystem. While these software packages are available for all platforms, they typically have a free version available for Mac users. Many of the free versions are designed to provide basic functionality for Mac users and provide the basic features to test the program. However, these programs do not provide the complete capabilities of WindowSystem and other similar software packages.
WindowSystem is an application that has been around for quite some time and is well known. The main purpose of this program is to track the number of tabs opened by the Mac user. The MenuMeters tracks are actually SystemUIServer modules (also referred to as Menu Extras) which are actually reorderable WindowSystems. This means that they can be reordered with drag and drop and remembered their locations across restarts and login sessions. These are not the only functions offered by this piece of software however, and it also provides several advanced functions that are more complex than what you would find in a simple tab tracker. WindowSystem is able to provide a complete log of the open windows on the Mac with all of their icons, sizes, colors, and properties including open history.
WindowSystem is also a great program for keeping track of the time that is spent on the Mac by the Mac user. The program offers a wide range of options for tracking the user's activity including the amount of time spent on each window, the number of screens visited and the number of active windows. This is important information when it comes to determining how much your organization can save. For example, you may be able to cut down on the number of training sessions and training materials used by employees while still maintaining an effective training approach. The data can also be used for employee training and development purposes, or to determine which employees are more productive at specific tasks. There are many other uses for these modules that make WindowSystem a great tool for Mac users to maximize their productivity.
